Text Message Terms and Conditions

1. Program Description

When you affirmatively opt in, Central Baptist Church may send text messages to the mobile telephone number you provide concerning Find Your Place Sunday/Back to Church Sunday on September 20, 2026.

Messages may include:

• A welcome message and requested event information.
• Worship times, location information, and event details.
• Attendance-planning questions.
• Event updates and reminders.
• Responses to questions you send to us.

Some messages may be sent using automated technology. Participation in this text-message program is voluntary.

2. Consent

By affirmatively opting in and submitting your mobile telephone number, you authorize Central Baptist Church to send the event-related SMS or MMS messages described above to that number.

Your consent applies only to this event-related messaging program. We will not use this consent for unrelated, ongoing promotional or ministry messages unless you separately request or consent to them.

Consent is not a condition of attending an event, receiving church services, participating in church activities, becoming a member, or making a donation or purchase.

You represent that you are the subscriber or customary user of the mobile number provided and that you are authorized to consent to receiving messages at that number.

3. Message Frequency

You may receive up to seven church-initiated event-related text messages concerning the September 20, 2026 event. Message timing may vary.

Additional responsive messages may be sent if you initiate or continue a conversation, ask a question, request assistance, or separately consent to additional communication.

4. Message and Data Charges

Message and data rates may apply according to your wireless carrier and mobile service plan. Central Baptist Church does not charge a separate fee for participating in this program.

Contact your wireless carrier if you have questions about your text-message or data plan.

5. Opting Out

You may withdraw your consent at any time by replying STOP to a message from Central Baptist Church.

After receiving your request, we may send one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. You will then receive no additional program messages unless you initiate a new conversation or affirmatively opt in again.

We will also honor other reasonable requests that clearly communicate your desire to stop receiving messages. You may make such a request by calling (936) 544-3677 or emailing info@cbcrockett.org.

7. Privacy

We use mobile numbers, consent records, and message information to operate this program, respond to requests, maintain our records, protect our systems, and comply with applicable requirements.

We do not sell or rent mobile information. Mobile information, SMS opt-in data, and consent will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

We may provide information to service providers that help us operate the program, including our messaging, hosting, database, and communications providers. Those providers may use the information only to provide services to Central Baptist Church.

8. Message Delivery

Text-message delivery is subject to effective transmission by your wireless carrier and network provider. Delivery may be delayed or unsuccessful because of circumstances outside our control.

Wireless carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages. Central Baptist Church does not guarantee that every message will be delivered or received.

9. Eligibility and Your Responsibilities

This program is intended for individuals who are at least 18 years old. You agree not to provide a telephone number belonging to someone else without that person's authorization.

If you change, deactivate, or transfer your mobile number, you should opt out or notify us so messages are not sent to another person.

10. Changes or Termination

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue this messaging program at any time. We may also update these Terms when operational, legal, or regulatory requirements change.

Revised Terms will be posted with a new "Last updated" date. Changes will not expand the scope of your original consent without obtaining any additional consent required by law.

11. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Central Baptist Church is not responsible for losses arising solely from delayed, failed, misdirected, or incomplete message delivery; actions taken by wireless carriers; or unauthorized access to a mobile device or account outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable federal law and the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute concerning these Terms will be handled in a court of competent jurisdiction in or serving Houston County, Texas, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
