Central Baptist Church of Crockett, Texas ("Central Baptist Church," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and share personal information submitted through our website, church event registrations, and lead forms on Facebook or Instagram.
1. Information We Collect
When you request information or register for an event, we may collect:
- Your name.
- Your mobile telephone number.
- Your email address.
- Your anticipated number of attendees or other basic event-planning information you voluntarily provide.
- Your communication preferences and any messages you send to us.
If you submit information through Facebook or Instagram, Meta also processes information under its own privacy policy. This policy applies to Central Baptist Church's use of the information after it is submitted to us.
2. How We Use Your Information
We may use your information to:
- Respond to your request and confirm your registration.
- Provide event details, reminders, updates, and answers to your questions.
- Plan appropriate seating, meals, children's activities, and other event needs.
- Send event-related text messages when you have provided the consent requested on the registration form.
- Maintain the security of our systems, prevent misuse, and comply with legal obligations.
We will not use event-registration information for unrelated ongoing marketing or ministry communications unless you separately ask or consent to receive them.
3. Text Messages
If you separately consent on an event form, Central Baptist Church may send event-related text messages to the mobile number you provide. For Back to Church Sunday on September 20, 2026, message frequency may vary and will not exceed seven event-related messages. These messages may include event information, an attendance-planning question, and reminders.
Consent to receive text messages is not required to attend an event or receive church services. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out of text messages. Reply HELP for assistance, call (936) 544-3677, or email info@cbcrockett.org. We will honor reasonable requests to revoke consent.
Mobile information, text-message opt-in data, and consent will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell or rent personal information. We may share information only:
- With authorized church staff and designated volunteers who need it for the purposes described in this policy.
- With service providers that help us operate registration, email, text messaging, data storage, or related church systems, provided they may use the information only to perform services for us.
- When required by law or reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, or security of individuals, Central Baptist Church, or others.
5. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we collect. However, no electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
6. Retention
Event-registration information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for event communication, planning, and follow-up. Information collected specifically for Back to Church Sunday will normally be deleted or de-identified within 90 days after the event, unless you separately request ongoing communication or a longer period is reasonably necessary for legal, security, or recordkeeping purposes.
7. Your Choices
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information you submitted by contacting us using the information below. You may withdraw text-message consent at any time by replying STOP. Withdrawing consent does not affect your ability to attend an event or participate in church activities.
8. Children's Privacy
Our event lead advertisements are directed to adults age 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under age 13 through these registration forms. A parent or legal guardian may provide an anticipated number of children attending for event-planning purposes.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any revised version will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
